One of the best things you can do before hiring a writer is to ask for samples. You need to make sure someone you’re hiring can write on your topics, write well in general, and create compelling content for the Internet. Instead of having a sample page, I like to keep everyone updated on my writing through my blog, and I’m going back to sharing weekly updates so you can see where I’m writing at the moment.
After all, as a freelance writer, the places I write change from month to month. I can’t share ghostwriting work for my private client, but I have been creating content about home decor and health and fitness tips recently. However, I can share the work that I’ve done on various blogs and writing in the Entertainment niche.
Usually, I’ll only focus on the week from the Sunday to the Saturday. However, I’m going to include a few posts from the beginning of the year since I got out of sync with sharing my updates.
Work at Home Mom Tips
Recently, my Lifestyle and Parenting blog gained a slightly tighter focus. While it is still about Lifestyle and Parenting, it’s with a Work at Home Mom vibe. One of the posts this week was all about doing less but accomplishing more, something everyone can do with figuring out.
5 ways to do less but accomplish more
Quitting Fiverr
You’ll know from this blog that I’ve made the decision to quit offering my services on Fiverr. On my website Blogging Blissfully, I chat about why I decided to stop offering my services there. This is something that I didn’t touch too much on when I put out a blog post on Hire a Freelance Blogger with an offer for those looking for me.
Why I’ve quit offering my writing services on Fiverr
Seasonal Entertainment posts
Over the holiday season, I created a lot of content on the seasonal topics. They were mostly in the Entertainment niche, whether with a streaming focus or for network TV. Here are a few examples of my seasonal posts:

Timely Entertainment content
There are times that the content is timed with the release of specific TV show episodes. Or I cover a postmortem review of events. In the last week or so, I’ve covered Outlander, Manifest, and much more. Here’s a look at just some of the content you’ll have seen from me this week

Writing routine daily, weekly, and monthly posts within the Entertainment niche
I do a lot of weekly posts, assignments given that I have a strict deadline for every single week or even daily. A look at these posts will tell you that I’m comfortable writing to strict deadlines and happy to write on a weekly basis.

11 Amazon Originals coming to Amazon Prime Video in January 2020
Most sold Amazon books last week: The Witcher rises, Little Women enters
Monday TV ratings: Manifest returns down, The Bachelor strong
Running a monthly theme
Something that I want to touch on is my ability to run monthly themes. I can come up with them if you need to, and then make sure there’s a post a day on that specific topic. The posts are written in advance to ensure they can be scheduled on a specific day at a specific time. I currently have a New Year’s Resolution theme happening on Precinct TV.
