Before you hire any writer, you need to see samples. It’s why I’ve taken to sharing my Alexandria Ingham writing samples each week.

This week, I spent most of the time in the entertainment niche, especially toward the end of the week with TV shows returning on broadcast and NYCC 2020 starting up. However, I did write for private clients and do some personal writing.

Private clients and personal writing

When it comes to personal writing, it’s all about fiction. I’m working on a novel that is currently only in draft stages. Throughout October, I hope to finish the first draft.

As for private clients, I ghost wrote some content about blinds and dentistry. They’re topics that I cover each month, always coming up with new ideas on the same keywords.

I also wrote with a byline within the entertainment niche, covering The Witcher news, some cancellation and renewal topics, and more.

What about the topic you can read? There are a few places to turn, with the majority of it being in the Entertainment niche.

Supernatural returned with the start of its final seven episodes. As soon as the episode aired, I started writing to bring a piece looking at the best five moments from the new episode.

NBC also gave me the opportunity to share a sneak peek from my favorite Canadian medical drama, Transplant.

During NYCC 2020, The Expanse dropped its fifth season trailer and premiere date. That was something that I needed to cover immediately, so jumped right in.

I also broke down the possiblities for Soldier Boy on The Boys. Jensen Ackles will play the role, and it’s going to be different to the graphic novels.

Earlier in the week, I broke down the biggest questions after watching the latest HBO hit, Lovecraft Country. I can’t figure out how this season will end.

With Coroner Season 2’s premiere, I broken down a piece about how powerful the show is in taking a deep look at depression and anxiety. These taboo topics aren’t often shown as anything more than being closed off and bored-looking. Coroner has it just right.

Last weekend, I covered NCIS: Los Angeles Season 12, specifically that Deeks’s job may be in danger because of upcoming storylines.

When it came to my coverage of Outlander, my biggest piece of the week was a look back at Outlander Season 3, Episode 5. I broke down Claire’s best moments from the episode.

Not everyone can follow storylines easily. Ratched on Netflix saw changing endgames depending on what was going on around characters. I broke down how Mildred’s endgame changed throughout the first season.

For those looking for writing and business tips, I looked at where to find writing prompts for new blog posts. It’s not always easy to do this if you don’t know where to start.

Finally, I looked at tips for saving for maternity leave. While I cover a lot of entertainment topics, I also do some coverage in the personal finance and family budgeting niches.
