Did you choose to hire a blogger in 2014? Now is a great chance to look back and see how it was. It’s important to assess whether hiring a freelance blogger is something you should use in 2015, or whether you need to change your marketing tactics.
You may have found a huge success with hiring a freelance blogger. Your blog may have rising in the ranks and new customers may have found you. On the other hand, you may not have seen a difference.
Here are some factors you need to review and determine from 2014.
Did Your Business Profit Improve?
You will have invested money in a freelance blogger this year. It’s important to make sure you saw a profit from that investment.
If you did, you’ll want to continue this for next year. However, you’ll have to consider whether you should place more of an investment in hiring a freelance blogger. You could have more posts out during the week or hire a blogger to help with other writing projects.
If not, then you’ll want to consider why. This takes us onto the next question.
Did You Market Your Blog Enough?
Just having the content written is not enough. You need to spend time marketing your blog posts and encouraging other people to share them
If you didn’t market your blog, then you wouldn’t see the profit increase that you could have. It’s really a wasted investment, and not the freelance blogger’s fault.
Maybe you didn’t have time to market your blog posts. This is something you will need to consider for 2015. How are you going to get the posts out there to help people find them? What will you do to improve your profits and make your investment worthwhile?
Is Hiring a Freelance Blogger Right for You?
It could be that hiring a blogger isn’t the best thing for you right now. This could be for a number of reasons, including it isn’t worth the investment. You may find it easier to have someone in-house handle the blog or you may want to do it yourself.
On the other hand, it could be the blogger. You may find you need someone who knows your industry better or someone who can produce more work—or better quality. Just because one freelance blogger didn’t work out doesn’t mean another won’t.
So, take the time to review 2014. How has hiring a freelance blogger helped you or has it not made much of a difference? The more you review, the more you can determine your plan for 2015.
Negotiating seems like a good idea. I’ve never heard of the concept before. People pay you to blog for them? That’s amazing.
I’m surprised at how many people haven’t heard about freelance blogging. But I guess it’s only been recently that so many businesses have heard how good blogging is for their marketing. It is great to be able to do something you love and be paid doing it.
Something to bear in mind although I love blogging never thought about freelancing but you’ve given great information for anyone that wishes to start x

I didn’t know about freelance blogging myself but have always enjoyed writing. It was not until recently, when I started my own blog that I realised it is a who new world with different dimensions, happy to have caught on. Thank you so much for the info, am amazed at what I get to learn everyday.
You’re welcome, Rachel. It is definitely a whole new world, and it changes so quickly. Google has changed its algorithm so many times since I started blogging and writing just four years ago.
