I remember someone once telling me that outsourcing was bad. It was a form of cheating in their business and they would never do it. It led to questions about whether they managed to do everything themselves, including bookkeeping, social media, blogging, customer service, etc. It soon transpired that they had an accountant for their taxes and a virtual assistant to manage their emails and book appointments.
They were outsourcing, but not in blogging. It turned out they thought outsourcing was a bad idea for blogging. They’d never come across a blogger who could create compelling content and help their business grow.
Too many people wonder if outsourcing is bad. They fear poor quality content, because there are so many horror stories out there. Sure, hiring the wrong person will be bad for business. There are bad freelance bloggers out there, but there are also some amazing bloggers. There are people who will put your business and your audience first, creating content that speaks volumes to them.
Is outsourcing a bad idea? Well, it depends on a few factors. There are some major benefits and ways that you will gain from having a blogger. Here are just some of the reasons you need to outsource blogging to the right person.
Gives You Time to Work Elsewhere
When you run a business, you need to take care of everything. I say this from experience. There are accounts to fill out, marketing to do, and emails to check. You need to pitch to clients and customers, find inventive ways to get your name heard, and brand your business to make it memorable.
Trying to do everything is overwhelming. There’s a reason I don’t do all my own social media anymore and I have an accountant for my taxes.
Outsourcing helps you to find balance. Hiring a freelance blogger will give you time to focus on everywhere else. You’ll need to check-in now and then, but you don’t need to worry about the posting of the content or the finding of images.
All you need to do is make sure you hire a good freelance blogger for this to work effectively.
Great Results in an Area You Know Nothing About
Do you really know that much about blogging? As a business owner, you may know very little. Sure you know it’s good for your site and creates fresh content for Google, but do you know the intricacies of how to do it? Do you know how to get your site ranked and how to use SEO properly in each post?
If you try to do it all, you will end up not quite reaching your business potential. A good freelance blogger knows how to utilize content marketing to make sure you do the best you possibly can.
But can’t you research it all? Sure, but it takes time!
There’s no need to find time to read books or blog posts about internet and content marketing. The blogger for hire has already done that, saving you time and money.
Fresh Ideas for Your Blog
Freelance bloggers will bring fresh ideas for your blog and can even help with your website content. Got sales copy that you want someone to look at? A blogger could even help with that too. Want help creating compelling Facebook ads? You want a blogger skilled in that area.
If you try to do it all yourself, you may find yourself running through the same ideas and tips over and over again. This means your blog stagnates and just isn’t interesting for your readers.
Bloggers get post ideas from all over the place and will bring fresh content ideas to the table on a monthly, if not weekly or daily, basis. You can still include your own ideas. Bloggers will help you use those ideas perfectly for your target audience.
Are you still asking the question “is outsourcing a bad idea?”
It’s time to stop, and to start looking for great freelance bloggers for hire. There are some great ones out there and they can help you use your blog effectively for your business.
Want a great blogger who will put your business first? Look no further! I offer a range of blogging packages to suit your needs.

Hi. I’ve come here through Ultimate Blog Challenge.
If I were writing in a business-related blog, I might hire a blogger, who would be much better at writing than I am. However, my blog happens to be a personal one, and I am blogging for the sake of blogging…
Hi Romi. I recently wrote about types of content that shouldn’t be outsourced, and personal posts were one of them 🙂 Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
That’s a great post! Everything in this world has got it’s positives and negatives. The same goes with outsourcing too! While it may give you time for other things, you also need a find someone who does justice to your business as you do!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Hi, Parul. You are definitely right about the pros and cons. The cons are often the reasons for people not to outsource at all, because they don’t want to run the risk. However, some research and time will help anyone find someone that works perfectly with them.
Great advise. As you say, Alexandria. It’s like everything else in a business, you need to focus on what you do best. If one of your employers (rather than a freelancer) were to write your blog, would that be any different? The thing is, you need to be involved to ensure that the blog reflects your business and the quality you strive for. I think one of the problems we have as entrepreneurs is letting go … delegating and trusting others that they too will do a good job! HUGS <3
Hi Judy, thanks for your comment. It might not make a difference getting an employee to do it for you, but then do you want that employee to spend time on the blog rather than other tasks? It is important for anyone to find something that works specifically for their needs and the needs of their business. Delegating is an issue for many entrepreneurs. While I like the idea of delegating since it will relieve some stress from me, it can mean that things aren’t done the exact same way I’d do them and I don’t always like that. It’s an issue that I need to get over with, and maybe one of these days I’ll hire someone to write somethings for me or manage other areas of my business. Right now I do it all.
I actually know very little about it.
I couldn’t really say!
Great post as usual x
